With the slogan “UV Faculty at the Service of Logistics”, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Valparaiso is present in a new edition of the main national exhibition dedicated to the port and logistics sector, promoting its postgraduate academic offer, applied innovation projects and links with the industry.
Strategically located in a region with a strong maritime-port vocation, the School highlights its Master’s programs in Port Administration and Management, Master’s in Maritime Engineering, Adaptation and Risks, and Master’s in Applied Informatics, Master’s in Business and Technology. All of them are designed to respond to the current challenges of logistics, digitalization, sustainability and operational efficiency of international trade.
“Our Faculty’s vision is to be a key player in the transformation of the port and logistics ecosystem. Not only do we train highly qualified professionals, but we also contribute with applied research and technological solutions that directly impact the sector’s value chain,” said the director of the Ocean Engineering program, Felipe Caselli.
Postgraduate programs are great development opportunities for professionals in technical areas as well as for those who work in the management and planning of logistics, port and maritime processes. These master’s programs offer an interdisciplinary approach, combining engineering with new digital tools and a focus on sustainability, aligned with the demands of a constantly evolving environment.
In addition, the following programs are also available: Master in Environmental Management, Master in Earthquake Resistant Engineering, PhD in Applied Computer Engineering, PhD in Mathematics and PhD in Science and Engineering for Health.
Along with its academic proposal, the UV School of Engineering takes advantage of this platform to share advances in university-industry linkage projects, development of technologies for intelligent port operations and its internationalization strategy, which strengthens collaboration networks with other academic institutions and innovation centers.
The exhibition thus becomes an opportunity for actors from the public, private and academic sectors to learn first-hand about the value proposition of a School that is projected as a fundamental pillar in the training of talent and the generation of knowledge at the service of national and international port logistics.
